Satumm Marketing Agent is an AI marketing service made by M/s. SATUMM TRADE AND TECHNOLOGIES, Dhaka, Bangladesh ("Satumm", "we"). Businesses use it to plan and publish social media posts, answer comments and messages, collect leads and send follow-ups. This policy explains what we collect, why, who else handles it, how long we keep it and how to have it deleted.
Who this covers
- Our customers: businesses and their staff who sign up and use the dashboard.
- Their audience: people who interact with a customer's Facebook page, Instagram or TikTok account, WhatsApp number or emails. For this data the business is responsible, and we process it only on its instructions.
What we collect
- Account: name, email address and sign-in details for each person who uses the dashboard.
- Business details: what the business enters, such as its products, prices, brand voice and settings.
- Connected accounts: when a business connects Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp or an email domain, we receive access tokens and the account or page ID. Tokens are encrypted when stored.
- Content and conversations: posts the agent drafts and publishes, comments and messages sent to the business on connected accounts, and the replies.
- Leads and contacts: names, email addresses, phone numbers and social IDs that people share with the business, where they came from, and a record of their consent to be contacted.
- Results: post reach, clicks on tracked links, replies and sales reported to the business.
- Usage and logs: actions in the dashboard and technical logs used to run and secure the service.
How we use it
- To provide the service: create, schedule and publish content, answer messages, send follow-ups and report results.
- To show each business what the agent did and why, and to let it approve, edit or stop any action.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and enforce sending limits.
- To bill the business for its plan.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use one business's data to market to another business's audience. We do not use data received from Meta or TikTok for advertising profiles or any purpose other than providing the service to the business that connected the account.
Messages and consent
The agent only sends marketing emails and messages to people who agreed to receive them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and replying STOP on WhatsApp stops further messages. These opt-outs are honoured across all channels of that business.
AI
Content and replies are written with AI models provided by Anthropic. The data needed for each task is sent to the model for that task only. Under our agreement with the provider it is not used to train their models.
Who else handles data
- Clerk: sign-in and team accounts.
- Neon: database, hosted in Singapore.
- Vercel: hosting of the application.
- Anthropic: AI models.
- Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) and TikTok: the platforms the business connects.
- Resend: sending emails.
- Cloudflare: storage of images and videos.
- Paddle: payments and invoices for our customers.
How long we keep it
- Account and business data: while the account is active.
- Conversations: up to 180 days, then deleted.
- Consent and opt-out records: as long as needed to prove consent and keep honouring opt-outs.
- After a business closes its account, its data is deleted within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep, such as invoices.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data. If you are part of a business's audience, you can also ask that business directly. See Data deletion or write to contact@satumm.com. We reply within 30 days.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Access tokens are encrypted at rest. Each business's data is kept separate from every other business's, and staff access is limited by role.
Children
The service is for businesses and is not meant for children under 13.
Changes
We will post changes here and tell customers by email before they take effect if they are significant.
